Movie Event, 17th October 2019.

A movie event was organized for the Microbi Club students at the Latifa Center at Zayed University Dubai. The film shown, "Five Feet Apart", told a story of two young patients of cystic fibrosis who fall in love despite having an illness that demands they stay apart. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects the lungs and can be life threatening. The movie was very attention-grabbing and the students really enjoyed it as it raises awareness about cystic fibrosis and has a touch of drama which made it quite engaging. The screening was made comfortable for students with a spacious room with the movie being projected on to a wide projector screen similar to the cinema and an Arabic seating was set up. Clubs Fair, 11th February 2019.

On 11th February 2019,  Zayed University held an outdoor club fair and organized booths in the Courtyard to promote and encourage students to join clubs at Zayed University. The presence of the Microbi Club was remarkable! Microbi Ambassadors impressed many students and faculty members with a creative recipe to prepare JAM. They encouraged students to prepare their own JAM rather than buying the store product version which usually contains preservatives and extra sugar. Microbi’s special recipes were used to prepare watermelon and strawberry jam in a ZU laboratory with the encouragement and support of Dr. Carole Ayoub Moubareck. During the event, Microbi Ambassadors distributed well-organized and easy to read pamphlets to describe jam recipes. A video of the members making the jam was displayed throughout the fair. Plus, Microbi Ambassadors served bread and cakes with the heavenly and mouthwatering jam spread on the top. Many were astonished by the flavorful taste of jam! Overall Microbi Ambassadors succeeded in spreading knowledge, positivity and smiles to whoever passed by their booth.
